Sarah Morgan

Creative Director

I am a Mum of 2 and a fully qualified Primary School teacher with 12 years experience working with children from Reception to Year 6. I have a masters degree in Drama and have combined these two qualifications and passions to create Little Story Shapers. My teaching experience mixed with my love for Drama creates this truly unique class, which inspires little ones imaginations whilst promoting a love of reading and stories.

I love nothing more than seeing a little one in my class exploring and creating their own ideas. The most rewarding part of my job is being able to see the smiles on children’s faces when they have thoroughly enjoyed a story, which we have brought to life together. Hearing from parents about how their children have gone home and continued to play and talk about what they have been up to in class is what I strive to achieve. I hope that everyone makes lasting memories as you enjoy your precious time together.

“Sarah's enthusiasm shines through and you can see the little ones gain confidence! My little girl would always be found on Sarah's lap at the front, watching with eager eyes and joining in with the activities. Sarah incorporates sign language into her classes and her songs were a big hit with my little ones!”

Elaine Stewart

Class Leader

“I can’t remember a time when I haven’t loved reading and exploring new books! Becoming a mum to my two little ones was an exciting time for me to show them my passion for reading and instill a love of books in them from the moment they were born.

I believe reading from a young age opens so many new doors and opportunities for little ones. I feel so privileged to become a Class Leader for Little Story Shapers, where I will get to create magic and spark imaginations by sharing a journey together as we sit down and read new stories.

I attended lessons with Sarah for my children, and I have many fond memories of seeing the wonder in their eyes as she brought stories to life. My daughter would be found at the front, sitting on her lap, soaking it all in. This memory was recreated when I had my interview. A little girl came and sat on my lap, and we began our storybook journey together. It was in that moment that I knew I was so eager to become part of the team!

I have many years of experience working with children, from being a former Scout Leader, volunteering abroad for disadvantaged children, to teaching karate lessons and caring for children with special educational needs. I also have a first class honours degree in Natural Sciences. I can’t wait to share my enthusiasm and love of reading with all of you!”

“I can’t praise Little Story Shapers enough. The way Sarah interacts with the children is incredible and the activities keep even the most distracted of children interested. I have seen H’s imagination suddenly grow and his speech has certainly been helped by the stories. He has new interest in a range of books throughout the day and not just at bedtime.”

Catherine Game

Class Leader

Catherine is a Mum of 2, has a BA Hons degree in Early Years development and has been a Primary School Teacher for the past 8 years, working with children aged 0-6.

“This experience has taught me the importance of reading for enjoyment for early childhood development and as a mum I have also seen the importance of reading with my 2 girls from day dot. Bedtime snuggles are one of our favourite times of the day, not only for boosting their imagination but for fun, laughter and bonding time. After attending Little Story Shapers classes with my girls, I knew it was something I would love to be involved with. I am passionate about reading and I love running Little Story Shapers classes.”

Little Story Shapers Philosophy

All children are made to feel welcome at Little Story Shapers, where they are free to explore and use their own imaginations. Children are encouraged to take inspiration from others and elements of children’s explorative, imaginative play are incorporated into the whole session.

Siblings are also welcome at Little Story Shapers in order to allow families to have fun together.

"My son is visually impaired, but these sessions are fully inclusive, and have helped him develop his social, fine & gross motor and problem solving skills. Each session is engaging, interactive, and (most importantly) multi-skill building."

Classes are for all

Little Story Shapers has been designed by a qualified primary school teacher with over 10 years of experience in supporting children with special educational needs. Classes are tailored to meet all children’s abilities allowing every child to feel valued, build their confidence, shape their creativity and boost their communication skills.
